Radical Danger Club bags are all designed from scratch and made entirely by one pair of hands, start to finish, in a little shed in Norfolk.
They’re designed for the kind of everyday riding that I do - from cruising to the shops or the pub or to work; from touring and bike packing to gravel adventures. All of the bags fill a niche that I’ve found wanting to be filled; lugging gear, layers and food around in as simple a manner as possible.
Every day bags, for every day bikes, doing everyday stuff. If you’re off to win the Transcontinental, they might not be for you, but for the realities of the bike adjacent life that many of us live, they’ll hopefully hit the spot.
Will you make me a custom bag?
Unfortunately not - it’s taken an enormous amount of work to finalise the designs, construction and material choices of these bags, and modifying any of those factors is a surprisingly large undertaking.
Are your bags waterproof?
In a word, no. It’s impossible to make a completely waterproof bag that relies on a stitched construction, but there are several design elements that help these bags to be water resistant. The Cordura fabric is highly water resistant, lots of the bags employ a roll top closure and floating liner, and I have placed seams as strategically as possible to help keep water at bay. I personally always dry-bag items within my touring bags anyway; partly for waterproofing, but also to keep everything as compressed and compact as possible, and to help keep items organised on the road.
Why are there white lines on my bag?
It’s chalk! And it easily sponges off with water, fades with use, or comes off in the rain. It’s used to mark out the bags during construction, and remnants of it might be visible on your bag. I like to think of it as similar to an under sketch showing through in a painting, these are handmade after all, but I do my best to remove the majority of it before shipping!
Where the Frame Bags at?
Coming sooooonnnn!
What is your returns policy?
Due to all bags being made to order, all sales are final
What is your warranty policy?
Unfortunately I can’t offer a one size fits all warranty policy, but please rest assured that part of what I’m trying to achieve here is to make bags that last as long as possible, without having to be replaced. I’m therefore happy to continue to repair your bag, within reason. It seems reasonable to take this approach on a case by case basis, to individually work out the best way of keeping you and your bag on the road or trail, and out of landfill for as long as possible. Sadly this doesn't cover zips, as is industry standard.
Will you ship outside of the UK?
What a sore topic. Currently I can only offer UK shipping. This is an ongoing self-inflicted shitstorm (like, nationally, not personally self-inflicted) which I’m currently unable to navigate with my meagre time and even more technical export law acumen. However, it’s something that I'm desperate to get sorted so hopefully it will be an option soon.
You haven’t answered my question…
Yeah, shit, sorry about that. Jump over to the contact page and drop me a line. I’m more than happy to chat bags, bikes, and generally attempt to help out with any queries you might have!
